Just a quick reminder that a photographic exhibition in aid of Down Syndrome will be launched at the Market Square at 11am today.
The Here I Am exhibition will run until June 25th and will be in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland.
It features 20 photographs of children with Down Syndrome taken by Kerry photographer Dan Murphy. The exhibition seeks to reveal the individuality of each of the children rather than the syndrome they carry.
This will be the first art installation at the newly renovated Market Square and was organised by Cllrs Maeve Yore and Mark Dearey, who are both parents of children with Down Syndrome.
The exhibition will be opened by Dundalk Municipal District chair Cllr Maria Doyle, Moninna McCarthy and Ronan Quigley, chairperson of Comhairle na nÓg.
All support for the event is welcomed.
